Ceramic container from North Africa

This is an old water container originating from a boarder of Algeria. I found this in an old Kasbah where I had lunch with friends, not far from Richard Branson’s house. It is unique by its deep dark color. As many of these ceramics, they were carried on the side of camel saddles or mules’ to keep a fresh water supply for the caravans.
